When can I get Lockling?
Lockling launches on iPhone and Android in late November 2026. Leave your email above and we will send you one message on launch day.
Does Lockling change my wallpaper?
On iPhone, no: Lockling is a widget, so your wallpaper stays exactly as it is. On Android, wallpaper mode draws a small word chip onto your lock screen wallpaper only after you agree. Use your own photo or one of ours; one tap restores your exact previous lock screen.
Is the free plan really free forever?
Yes. One new word a day, unlimited reviews and recall faces, and every lock-screen surface and style stay free with no time limit and no ads. Pro adds more content and a faster pace.
Can I choose which word is on my lock screen?
With Pro, yes: show any word on your lock screen right now, or skip to the next one, in the app or straight from the widget. On the free plan, Lockling picks the word for you on its review schedule.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later (Lock Screen, Home Screen and StandBy widgets), and Android 8.0 or later (lock screen wallpaper mode, home screen widget and an optional daily notification).
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Words, readings and examples are bundled with the app, and pronunciation uses your phone's built-in voice. You only need a connection to buy or restore Pro.
Is this a full language course?
No, and we will not pretend it is. Lockling keeps a language warm with a few words a day and makes sure they come back before you forget. It is a great companion to a class, a course or a trip.
How do I cancel Pro?
Cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (in the app: Settings → Manage subscription). Pro stays active until the end of the paid period, and the free features keep working afterwards.
