These terms apply when you use Lockling. By using the app you agree to them. We kept them as short and clear as we could.

The app
Lockling helps you learn vocabulary by showing words on your lock screen, with reviews and practice. The free version — including the lock-screen word — keeps working without a subscription. Pro adds more words per day, faster rotation, all packs, unlimited own words and extra practice modes. Every lock-screen style is free.
Pro subscriptions and prices
Pro is offered as an annual subscription, a monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The price and billing period are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If prices change, the store tells you in advance and asks for your consent where required.
Free trial
Where a free trial is offered (for example 7 days on the annual plan), it turns into a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You won't be charged if you cancel in time. Any unused part of a trial ends when you buy a subscription.
Cancelling
You can cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings (in the app: Settings → Manage subscription). Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and the free features keep working afterwards. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Payments are processed by Apple or Google, so refunds are handled by them under their policies. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: the order history in your Google account. We can't issue refunds directly, but we're happy to help — just email us.
Lifetime purchase
Lifetime is a one-time purchase that unlocks Pro for as long as the app is offered, on devices signed in to the same store account. Use "Restore purchases" in Settings to unlock it on a new device.
Fair use
The app and its content are for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy, resell or redistribute the word lists, reverse-engineer the app, or use it to break the law. You're responsible for words you add yourself — please keep them suitable for a lock screen that others may see.
Content accuracy
We work hard to make translations, readings, examples and articles accurate, but language is rich and mistakes happen. Pronunciation uses your device voice and may not be perfect. The app is a learning aid, not a professional translation service — please don't rely on it where accuracy is critical. If you spot a mistake, use "Report a mistake" on the word or email us.
Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
App stores
These terms are between you and us, not Apple or Google. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If a change affects your subscription or rights in a meaningful way, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. We won't take away features you've paid for during a paid period.
